ScanVeer Certified Terms
ScanVeer Certified is an independent private certification and is not a government health or sanitation rating. It is an ingredient-transparency program run by ScanVeer. It is not a government health inspection, sanitation rating, regulatory approval, or government endorsement, and it says nothing about food safety, hygiene, allergen handling or compliance with any law.
Self-assessment is not certification
Ready Score is a preliminary self-assessment. It does not mean this home or kitchen is ScanVeer Certified. The Ready Score you see after scanning your own products is calculated on your device and your account from products you chose to scan. It is not verified by ScanVeer, it can be shared as a self-assessment only, and it must not be described as a certification, rating, approval or endorsement by ScanVeer.
How a certification is issued
- A business completes a self-assessment in the app and requests a review, or submits an inquiry on the website.
- A ScanVeer reviewer schedules and performs an ingredient review against the published standard for the program (home, kitchen, fridge or pantry). Each standard carries a version number recorded on the certification.
- Only after the review is completed and explicitly approved does the ScanVeer review desk issue a certification. Nothing a user does in the app can set a certification status.
- The certification carries a certification ID (format SVC-…), the certified entity, the certification type, the issue date, the expiry date (365 days from issue unless the standard states otherwise), the standard version and the reviewer.
Statuses and public verification
Anyone can verify a certification at scanveer.com/certified/<certification ID>. The verification page shows the entity, certification type, status, issue and expiry dates and standard version. It never shows an inactive certification as currently certified.

| EXPIRED | The expiry date has passed. The entity is not currently certified; a new review is required. |
| SUSPENDED | ScanVeer has temporarily withdrawn the certification pending correction of a stated issue. The entity is not currently certified. |
| REVOKED | ScanVeer has permanently withdrawn the certification for a stated reason. The entity is not certified; a new application and review would be required. |
Suspension and revocation
ScanVeer may suspend or revoke a certification at any time, with the reason recorded, if the certified inventory materially changes, if information provided during the review proves inaccurate, if the mark is misused, or if the standard is revised and the entity does not meet the new version by the stated date. Suspensions and revocations are recorded in an append-only audit log.
Use of the mark
A certified entity may display "ScanVeer Certified" together with its certification ID and the verification URL for as long as the status is ACTIVE. The mark must not be altered, must not be used to imply government approval, health inspection, food safety or any claim beyond ingredient transparency, and must be removed when the status is no longer ACTIVE. ScanVeer may require corrective statements for misuse.
Fees and independence
At the effective date of these terms, ScanVeer does not charge for a review. If a fee is ever introduced it will be a fee for the reviewer's time and will never influence the outcome; a paid review can fail. Certification never influences a product's score in the app.
Data
Certified profiles hold business contact details and scanned inventory; the verification page shows only the entity name, type, city-level location and certification fields, never the contact person, phone, email or inventory. See the Privacy Policy. These terms form part of the Terms of Use.
